Its a very solid aluminum base with rubber non-slip pads. The two sides are adjustable with the provided allen wrench. The only downside for me (but not really) is that once tightened, the sides dont move. I use one side for my 17 laptop and the other for the keyboard when i need to move it out of the way. This is definitely a plus in most situations. My laptop often goes to sleep and cant wake up with external USB, so I have to take it out of the stand and power it up. None of that is the fault of this stand. The stand does exactly what it should.

I keep a MacBook and a bigger Dell laptop in this stand. Very stable and looks nice. I would highly recommend if you have a dual laptop setup.

Material is metal, solid and adjustable. I can have my Mac Book Pro (with cover) beside my PC laptop and save room on my desk.

Material is sturdy and love that the gap can be adjusted as per the thickness of the laptop. Mine had a bulgy battery so I had to increase a little. 15-inch laptop was very stable in the stand.

It is heavy enough to feel solid, adjustable to fit both laptop sizes perfectly, and the padding ensures there is never metal scraping on metal. Zero complaints, very happy with my purchase.

It is made of metal and there are rubber contacts where the laptops would sit. it is sturdy for my devices but leave extra room so the devices can move in and out without the need to pry your devices out. Adjustability is great for accomidating my two different laptops, and the fins are tall enough to properly keep the laptops up.
