This allows you to watch videos or scan social media on your phone while having your neck at a comfortable angle. The hands are free to rest on a desk without gripping the phone. This sometimes resulted in cramps in my shoulder and neck. Not any more!

This is a very well made little stand. I have a 12.9” iPad Pro and the stand holds it without tilting, even in portrait mode. I bought this so I could read books on my iPad while having lunch, and it’s perfect for that. Be good for watching movies too. If you’re ok with the sticky rubber pad (it’s not a permanent adhesive but it’s fairly sticky), then you could certainly web browse, do social media, etc. that requires frequent tapping on the device without worrying about tipping it over. Only reason I didn’t give this stand 5 stars is the rubber pad on the bottom is very sticky, and not something I want touching my wooden dining table (or any other wood surface). However, this problem had a very easy solution. I cut a scrap piece of felt to cover the sticky pad. The stand can still scoot, but as long as I don’t give it a hard shove it’ll be fine. However, it would have been nice if they’d included a non-sticky rubber pad.
