> 3 dayMy tortoise seems to like it. It will bask under the lamp after some water dipping and eating. Be careful however, when you turn off the light do not try to move it around since it is too hot. I made a mistake by moving it and break the first bulb by mistake. The heat make it fragile and you have to wait until it cool down.

> 3 dayI dont now how these bulbs work; I actually dont know what they are. I know I thought I ordered full spectrum lighting for my turtle and what I received were 6 bulbs in non-descript generic packaging. So Im not sure if these are the real deal or not. I guess I rely on packaging to assure me that I received what was intended but these look like any other mini bulb that you might use in track lighting. How do I know that these are indeed full spectrum? I dont want to use them for four or six months only to find out that my turtle has metabolic bone disease because of a lack of the correct lighting. Ugh. Grrrr.

> 3 dayPurchased 8/3/21. Put first bulb in for my tortoise and it burnt out 9/5/21. It didnt actually even last 1 month. I hope it was just a fluke.

Greater than one weekI took a chance after reading all the reviews about these burning out quickly. so far no issues 2 months later. you have to treat them like a car headlamp. if you touch with your bare hands, the oils will heat the glass and shorten the life span of the bulb.

> 3 dayGot these thinking that Id save by buying half a dozen for the price of 1- 2 of the zoomed reptituff heat lamps. So far Ive gone through half the box already, with each bulb lasting as short as 1 month and as long as 2.5 months. The reptituff would last a year, so in the end these generic bulbs costed more.

Greater than one weekWe all know these arent actually UV complaint for what they advertise. But we do know that they are great little heat generators for the $$. Absolute trash, but 6 for $15 will keep my turtle warm while a legitimate UV bulb can go in a separate lamp.
