Hinges are strong, and stay in place. Great product. only thing: on my 2016 MacBook Pro, the platform is too big (back to front dimension), so the protruding material at the back blocks the airflow of the fan vents at the back…..I glued several spacers down to the platform at the back, so as to raise the computer up a bit and let air flow improve.

As seen in my photo, the perfect placement of my external keyboards is over the base of the laptop stand. That makes the keyboard wobbly and unusable. I shift the keyboard away from the stand but thats unnatural. Otherwise, the stand is great. I just wish the base didnt protrude so far out

Very sturdy and good quality stand. It was a bit hard to move the stand up to the position I wanted, but I guess thats a good thing since it has to support and keep that position with the weight of the laptop on top of it. The package it arrived in has a handle so you can use it as a carrying case. The only thing that I wish was better is the size of the base. It is on the small side and I bought this to use on my lap, not a table, so it could use some more width to it.

It is very strong, it does not drop at all even after long time - you set up the hight and level and it stays that way even with very heavy laptop.

Exactly as advertised and exactly what I was looking for to raise my laptop up to reduce neck strain during long video edits. Solid product, easy to adjust, yet solid once adjusted.
