Greater than one weekSure its a few bucks more than most... But for 1-3 degrees off your temps, I think its worth it. Besides, theres enough in this tube to do 8-12 processors, easily. If youre an enthusiast and need some great paste, this is one to keep on your radar.

> 3 dayI’ve got an old PC (core 2 quad q8300) which I’m breathing new life into at the moment. I’d added a case fan (noctua as well) and an SSD. The only problem with this computer was the super high temperatures it was running at. I decided to get rid of the old thermal paste and replace it with this thermal paste by Noctua. The combination of the addition of a new case fan and this thermal compound dropped my average and max CPU temperatures by 20 degrees as measured whilst running geekbench 5. Scored 925 in multi core in geekbench which brings it not far off an i3 8100 which is around 8 or so years newer than it. Not bad to be honest, and I think the major difference was the replacement of the thermal compound.

Easy to apply
Thanks to its excellent spreading properties, there is no need to manually spread NT-H2 before installing the cooler: Simply apply some paste onto the CPU (see instructions for details), put on the heatsink and you’re ready to go!
