> 3 dayEasily the best 120mm tower fan cooler out their. Easy installation for the experienced, very high quality, dead silent even at moderate speeds, and has provisions for an additional fan. Does not interfere with ram at all on pretty much any standard motherboard. This is as big as I will go for air cooling, as it weighs over 800 grams which is more than the recommended amount by AMD and Intel socket retention systems. Anything more can stress the board and moving the computer with larger tower coolers is a big no-no (even Noctua acknowledges this). Has tons of headroom for my overclocked Ryzen 2600. Unless you are doing some extreme overclocking on the higher-end chips, you dont need anything more.

> 3 dayNOTE: This cooler is the AMD version. Please be aware of this before buying it. The Intel version is a different product. This only has mounting brackets for the AM4 socket.

> 3 dayI bought this cooler to replace the stock cooler on my AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU. Im not a gamer so the computer is primarily for business software. I built the computer a few months back and it was very noisy. So I decided to replace the two noisiest components, the power supply and the cooler. First I replaced the power supply since that was the louder of the two. I went for “Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750W 80+ Gold SLI/Crossfire Ready Ultra Quiet 140mm Hydraulic Bearing Smart Zero Fan Full Modular Power Supply 10 Year Warranty PS-TPD-0750FNFAGU-1 “ This is a fantastic PS, absolutely quiet..5 dB till about 60% (i.e. 450 Watts of quiet power). After replacing the PS, the stock cooler noise became even more irritating. I researched a few different coolers, most of which were in $40-50 range but had a little more noise levels. Since I wanted a very quiet one, I decided to go for Noctau brand based on reviews I had read an a few different websites. I selected Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 primarily because it is meant for AM4 processors.. This is a BIG cooler, so I looked up for compatibility with my hardware. Even though my motherboard (Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite) did not show up on the list, I measured the space required for the cooler and found it could easily fit.

12-11-2024I used this to cool a Ryzen 2600X on AMD motherboard,it works as advertised ,except for the one side fan I could not use.But I have enough fans to cool the case and keep CPU at 37c at idle.It is easy to install.

> 3 dayThis heat-sink is fantastic... cooling my Ryzen7 1700X to 45 C under 7/8 cores at 100% load mining crypto algorithms. Its also extremely quiet and, quite possibly, the easiest to install large heat-sink I have ever touched. I would recommend it to ANYONE looking for an easy to install / effective AM4 heat-sink.
