Its just too complicated with too many points of failure for too little gain. Theres not much to go wrong with a hunk of metal, so I decided to go with what everyone seems to recommend: this beastie.

> 24 hourI have an older computer. Nothing wrong with the computer except that the CPU over heat and shut down. During heavy processing the CPU will open gets above 70C. I just installed this fan. The temp under the same load was max at 36C. Right now at idle is 31C.

> 24 hourThe product is a bit expansive, but comes with a lot of stuff, including the thermal compound that is really effective. You can use one or two fans on it and comes with a low-noise adaptor which can be use or not. Personally, I used the adaptor and only 1 fan and theres pretty much no noise that comes out of the tower and the CPU is still at low temperature. I really recommend it!

> 24 hourSuper packaging, avec le petit tube de pâte thermique, préférer extraire la carte mère pour linstaller, sinon, cest vraiment le bordel pour fixer les ventilos et les brancher :/ Pour ce qui est de la RAM, pas de soucis en soit si vous avez une tour méga giga grande ou si vous faites limpasse sur le second ventilo ou si la RAM est en low profil (par contre, maintenant pour changer la RAM, jai lair malin, je ny ai plus vraiment accès).
