> 3 dayIch habe die zwei rasselnden Gehäuselüfter meines neuen Gehäuses durch zwei Noctua NF-S12A PWM ersetzt. Solange sie heruntergeregelt sind, höre ich sie quasi gar nicht. Erst nach längeren rechenintensiven Tasks, wenn die Temperatur im Gehäuse ansteigt, legen sie hörbar los. Seltsamerweise stört mich das Geräusch aber gar nicht so sehr. Ich habe den Eindruck, dass ich hier vor allem die Luft rauschen höre und die Motoren nahezu lautlos arbeiten.

> 3 dayGot it for my second intake fan as my case came with only two fans. Although some say this fan is better for exhaust, it works fine as intake too. I will slowly swap out other two case fans with noctua fans in the future. The extension cable came in handy when routing my wire through back of my case.

> 3 dayAmazing! Ordered 3 of these plus the 140mm NF-A14 PWM to replace the fans in my case...built this computer in 2012. Once I had everything reconnected and fired it back up....I panicked a bit - the only fans I heard running were the CPU and PS fans...and I still had the side of the case off! Had to do a quick visual check that, Yes, the Noctua fans *were* actually running. Wow. This is my first experience with Noctua and Im blown away. Ive been building my own computers since about 2001 and these are by far the quietest fans Ive ever used. A buddy of mine recommended these and I love them! The extra connectors they supply - extension, splitter to run 2 fans off of one header, and the low noise connector, plus the rubber anti-vibration bumpers on each corner....very nice touch Noctua! Definitely worth it! You can tell from the packaging alone that these are high quality fans. Noctua is #1 on my list now...

The NF-S12A marks the third generation of Noctua’s signature S12 series quiet case fans, which have received more than 250 awards and recommendations from the international press. Featuring a further refined blade design with Anti-Stall Knobs that works in tandem with the new AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, the NF-S12A improves the airflow/noise efficiency of its renowned predecessor by up to 8%. The PWM version sports Noctua’s custom designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control via 4-pin fan headers and comes with a Low-Noise-Adaptor to reduce the maximum speed during PWM control from 1200 to 900rpm. Anti-Stall Knobs
The NF-S12A"s Anti-Stall Knobs reduce flow separation phenomena in medium to high impedance situations and thereby increase the fan"s stall margin. This means that the NF-S12A is even more versatile than its renowned predecessor and can achieve better performance on heatsinks and radiators.
