Nice fan as usuel, for noctua. Only little remark is for color, not big deal.

I have a few radiators on my computer and these fans are amazing for the amount of static pressure they create. However, just like other reviewers warned, if you order from Platinum Micro, Inc., they will send you the wrong fans.

I purchased several of these fans. One was a different color presumably because of poor quality control. Normal fans are tan, but this one has a reddish tint to it.

Is $20 alot to spend on a pc fan? That all depends on if you want a well cooled, quite pc.

I bought this for my back up PC with air cooled heatsink and I must say this thing is so quiet I have to visually make sure the fan blades are spinning. And my CPU fan setting is set to Turbo. Just for giggles, I overclocked my Phenom II x6 1090T to 3.7Ghz and ran prime 95 and cpu temp levels off at 52C. And the fan turning at 100%, I can only hear a slight hum. And Im using average run-of-the-mill cpu heatsink.(Coolermaster Hyper 212). I have Kraken X60 in push and pull cooling fx8350 OCed to 4.7Ghz on my main PC and I dont get that kind of Temp. I kinda wish I had just bought Noctua cooler for my main PC instead of going with liquid cooling option. :( I now see why noctua gets all these rave reviews. Im definitely buying noctuas for my radiator.

Teaming up eleven stator guide vanes with a specially conceived seven blade impeller, the NF-F12’s Focused Flow system creates outstanding static pressure and focuses the airflow for superior performance on heatsinks and radiators. At the same time, a wide range of advanced aerodynamic design measures, second generation SSO-Bearing and Noctua’s new, custom designed PWM IC for fully automatic control assures astounding quietness of operation. The NF-F12 comes with modular cabling, integrated anti-vibration pads and two speed settings for full flexibility. Its commanding performance, exhaustive set of features and Noctua’s trusted premium quality make it an elite choice for use on air coolers, radiators and other pressure demanding applications.

Focused Flow frame

Designed for pressure demanding applications such as heatsinks and radiators, the Focused Flow frame features eleven stator guide vanes that straighten, channel and focus the airflow, which allows the NF-F12 to rival the performance of conventional fans running at much faster speeds.

Heptaperf Impeller

Custom designed for the new Focused Flow frame and to work in tandem with the eleven stator guide vanes, the NF-F12"s seven blade Heptaperf impeller has been carefully optimised to achieve a perfect balance between power and quietness.

SSO2 bearing

The NF-F12 is the first fan to feature the further optimised second generation of Noctua"s renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.

Varying Angular Distance and Vortex Control Notches

The NF-F12"s stator guide vanes are set out in Varying Angular Distance and feature Vortex-Control Notches. Both measures help to spread the noise emission over a broader frequency spectrum and thus make the fan"s sound pattern more agreeable to the human ear.

Scope of Delivery

  • NA-RC6 Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A)
  • NA-YC1 4-pin PWM y-cable
  • NA-EC1 30cm extension cable
  • 4x NA-AV1 anti-vibration mounts
  • Fan screws
