Clippy the Magnificent
Greater than one weekI picked up a new (used) mobile VHF/UHF radio for satellite work and was surprised at how noisy the stock fan was. This was a great replacement option. The fan comes with a lot of different connectors that would be appropriate for PC applications, but for the radio, I simply spliced wires and reused the existing connector, using heat-shrink tubing to keep it taut. Its much quieter now.

Greater than one weekBearings began to grind less than 2 months after installing it. this is supposed to be a silent fan and makes more noise than my cheap 1 dollar 40mm fans.

Reduced motor hub size
