> 3 dayWe run a hamster rescue so we use a lot of different products. Platforms are one of the things we consider essential for several reasons. Primarily they allow us to use the space efficiently. We can provide the deep bedding hamsters require and still provide for their enrichment needs by setting things on top of the platforms. Sand baths, dig boxes, food and water dishes, ceramic hides, etc. They also solve the issue of safety. Hamsters can burrow as they please and nothing heavy can squish them since the platforms support the weight. Yes the legs can very easily slip off but just put a piece of toilet paper over the peg at the top of the legs and theyll stay on. Easy peasy. To avoid hammy pee soaking into the wood and ruining it you can paint the top of the platform with a few coats of modpodge (perfectly hammy safe) and allow to dry well. Sand lightly to be sure there are no rough spots before putting inside the enclosure. When no longer needed wooden items can be baked at 200F for an hour or so to sanitize before giving to a new hamster.

> 3 dayI returned it because the legs did not stay in place. I could have glued it I guess but I was worried about the hamster possibly ingesting glue.

> 3 dayI think this might be the only niteangel product I feel was a fail. The legs do not stay on. One nudge, and you have a total collapse. Its difficult to set up and falls over easily as youre decorating the cage. Ive tried hot gluing them in, but they dont sit in deep enough for that to help. I dont understand why these dont just screw on or something like even the simplest IKEA table...? Ive built similar ones since and used screws so they stay. This falls over way too easily.

> 3 dayLegs fall off way to easily other than that this is great. It’s very sturdy and it’s a great platform to put the wheel on!

> 3 dayThis has created a perfect burrowing and second flooring to my hamsters 75 gallon tank. I pack the bedding under the platform so she has access to burrow in and create a den.

> 3 dayI purchased the tall platform to allow for deeper bedding. This allows to place dig box, sand bath, food bowl and other items securely without fear of items crushing burrows. Must have tall enclosure like 75-gallon tank, Niteangel Bigger World, 20-24in or taller sides, etc. I would not use in 40-gallon tank or shorter sided enclosures, especially with Syrians who would love to use the taller height to escape.

> 3 dayI bought this platform because the wheel was getting buried in bedding by the gerbils and the 9 in wheel fits great on the platform (both are made by “Niteangel”) with room for a water dish as well. The only slightly negative I have is that the legs don’t attach to the platform, making it slightly challenging to get into position in the habitat. The legs connect with a peg in a hole type system that is sturdy once the platform is standing upright, but if you lift the platform (like for cleaning) the legs fall off. Seems like this could be fixed with just a little wood glue inside the holes, where the gerbils can’t chew at it.

> 3 dayI really do love a good Niteangel product. I purchased two of these when I heard they were back in stock. I really like them. I would love to see 10-12 inch platforms to allow for more bedding
