These shims worked for the project at hand. I was constructing a wood shake roof for a dollhouse. I realize that shims are usually hidden in construction, so to find quality constructed shims is pretty hard. Overall, I was able to complete my project with these shims and am happy with the outcome. PROS • Price • Quantity • Relatively smooth finish CONS • Box only came with 118 pieces and not the 120 as advertised; luckily I only needed 108 pieces for my project • A few of the pieces were not usable as they were damaged or the wrong size • Seller should update product photos to show actual product and not a rendering • Width of the shim (in my box) is around 1.35 inches (1-3/8) and not 1.25 as seller had stated

I bought these for installing doors and they worked great. It was cheaper than buying from the box store

If you are going to use these for crafts you might want to choose a different brand. If the thin end is going to be exposed this will be time consuming. The thin end on a lot of them were splintered or missing chunks. I am using them on a mirror and those ends will be hidden so it doesn’t impact this particular project. The thicker end looks nice and jolds up well.

I bought this product to use for a craft I threw the whole box away because they were junk

Used these shims to install a set of new treads and risers on a set of stairs. Original outside stringers were not square at all, and so the new center stringer did not line up at all. So these came in super handy and I used quite a few to do the install. All were sturdy and none were broken unintentionally. Still have a lot left.

They’re fine, but I could’ve gotten more for less money at Lowe’s. Some of the shins are not finished on the taper, I would t say they’re premium. Overall, they’re shims and it’s not too big a deal. Nothing special.

Work as expected.

Exactly what I needed them for. Had a creaking sound in the floor and just used the shim n between the subfloor.
