NAR6595A NAR6595 Motorola Original APX 764-870 MHz Single-Band GPS Stubby Antenna

Perfect!

I’m writing this review in 2022 and purchased the antenna in 2018. Since then I have had NO issues with connectivity or range. I know some people are skeptical because of the length of the antenna but using this within our 16.5 sq mile city this antenna works fine (unsure if you’re using it for a larger land coverage). It’s also just helpful not to have the long antenna which the Motorolas normally come standard with, which get stuck in gear or even clothing.

Works well with radio. No issues

Just over 2 months on my radio I noticed the antenna was loose. When I reached down to tighten it and found the antenna spun freely on the radio and pulled off without resistance. Upon further inspection the internal threads had stripped. At my current position it has literally just been going from holster to charger, no rolling around or going through the brush.

Perfect replacement for that ridiculously long antenna that came with the 8000. I’m sure I’m breaking some sort of dept policy by replacing the old one, but whatever. At least now I don’t look like a WW2 radio operator or Boba Fett. No loss in signal or coverage. I just made the nerdy tech guys mad at me, but it works just fine.
