I use a wireless keyboard/mouse for my laptop when on my desk, and having this stand/riser allows me more desk space as I can use the space under the stand for papers. It would not be helpful if you wished to type on the laptops keyboard. This stand is also sturdy and easy to assemble. You could also use it for a desktop monitor, or maybe a printer stand.
