If you think the price for 2 is too good to be true, youre right. The first emitter only lasted me 2 months, which some other reviews I noticed said one stopped working shortly after getting them. I had a Zoo Med and Flukers emitters last me 5+ years often running 24 hours a day. Save yourself the headache and stress of your reptile going without heat unexpectedly, buy quality reputable name brand heat emitters instead. UPDATE: The seller kindly refunded me for my defective purchase and advised they are working on the product. Customer service is kind and efficient.

I have a house cat. She wants to stay outside. I have some chrome shelving in my outdoor shed and I set up those braided small rugs to wall in part ofthe 2 nd shelf and placed the heat emitter on the shelf above her. These shelves are adjustable by inch increments. Then I set bricks around the bulb holder (using a heavy duty ceramic domed bulb holder like for little chicks) and the bricks hold it in place and are sturdy. Maybe it also provides some heat retention also. She must like it. She wants to stay outside still. I also have a brooder lamp in the area as backup on the colder nights and just incase one of the heat setups fails. Im happier with these heat emitters than using a 150 watt brooder set up and they dont use that much electricity.

I now use these for heat in all my reptile cages. They are considerably cheaper than name brands and literally have the same output. I cannot speak to longevity quite yet, however, they have been in use for three months so far with no issues

Not thrilled this showed up in just the box its in with a plastic thin envelope ,not a box with packing or protection :/ . . Not as hot as my 150 watt red basking heat bulb . I got this 150 to replace it, it gets hot but doesnt force heat downward. Kind of works cause i can put higher ledges for my big iguana and she can bask under it...:) i have to run 300 watts instead of 150watts for same heat output. BUT i can have 2 basking spots and have higher ledges and she wont Burn! Top half is hotter lower half cooler. Works for the gradient :). . . UPDATE : Bought MAY, 22, 2023 .. One Just Burnt Out -_-. MAY 31, 2023. . Wtf not even 9 days?? Wow ...will be Returning. . . Whats up with Quality control?? CHINA tryin to get us back or something? Are these defected??

Might work well for a glass reptile enclosure for didn’t work well for a cat.

I also use them during the day for a little extra heat, if needed.

I bought a 2 pack. They both got extremely hot, dangerously hot. Then within days were dead. I didnt realize until my bearded dragon got a little depressed looking. It sucked that she didnt have appropriate heat for several days before I noticed. I have my lights on timers. She is all fine! ...but now I have to buy lights again...
