> 3 dayThis bulb is just ok. It produces heat, but not enough to keep temps above 80 deg. I assume I received a lower watt bulb. My use was to provide a bit more heat during the evening on the hot side of the habitat when light is not needed. However it just couldnt keep the habitat at the correct temp. The heat it does produce is constant and unlike the incandescent bulbs doesnt cause the light assembly to be scorching hot. Overall this product works well. You just need to be careful of the bulb watt level when purchasing.

> 3 dayWe have a Ball python named Bubbles and these ceramic lights are perfect for her tank. Our house isnt always super warm, and this helps her tank not get too cold at night. If you prefer natural lighting for your reptile tanks these ceramic bulbs are worth trying.

> 3 dayIts a 60w ceramic heat emitter, it does what its intended to do. These are all pretty generic, not the most powerful ones out there, but also less likely to fry the housing of your lamp over time. Creates a nice, warm basking area for reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, etc without unwanted light.

Greater than one weekThese were a good value & seem to be working great. Jusas good as name brand bulbs I’ve used in the past. My only real complaint would be how they sent them but I’m guessing that’s how they keep the cost down. They arrived inside a box that was stuffed into a padded envelope. The box/packaging was a little damaged however the bulbs were fine.

> 3 dayI used these to heat my well to prevent freezing in 0°F temperatures and well below 0°F chill factors. I had no problems at all even with a well that had no insulation whatsoever. I used these to heat the area under a large well cover. The power went off but the creamic held heat throughout the one hour rolling blackout. I also plan to use these in my dog kennels over the individual kenels to heat the bedding and sleeping area. This will add an area of extra heat during those cold nights. Anywhere you need heat these ceramic heaters meet the need. Although advertised for reptiles.... You can use these anywhere additional heat is needed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR WELLS TO KEEP PIPES FROM FREEZING. I USED 2 IN THE UNINSULATED 3 FOOT BY 5 FOOT BY 5 FOOT HIGH WELL COVER OVER A 24 INCH BORED WELL. I USED ONE ON A SMALLER 6 INCH WELL WITH INSULATION BUT EXPOSED PIPES AT GROUND LEVEL WHERE AIR COULD ENTER UNDER THE EDGE OF THE WELL COVER. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS ADDITIONAL HEAT ON THOSE BOMB CYCLONE LOW TEMPERATURES EVEN IF YOU HAVE HEAT TAPE IN PLACE. A GREAT BACKUP IF THE HEAT TAPE FAILS... PLUS THE CERAMIC WILL HOLD HEAT DURING THE ROLLING BLACKOUTS.

> 3 dayThese bulbs make a nice heat source for chicks. I got the 60 W bulbs and setting up just one of them worked well for the six chicks we needed to keep warm in our house. If we were to keep much more than that I would either set up more than one bulb or get the higher wattage ceramic bulbs. I kept a digital thermometer in the box with them at first just to make sure I got the temperature right and had the bulb set at the right height. Some observations and adjustments are required for these to work well but no more than what you would need to do with a traditional red heat lamp from tractor supply. I don’t prefer those because in our case they are just way too hot and too much of a fire hazard. It should be noted that these ceramic bulbs don’t emit any light so one would need to provide another source for light for the chicks to be able to eat and drink during regular daylight hours.

> 3 dayIm sure youre probably looking at this because you have a lizard or some other little creature that needs heat cause it cant make its own and I know youre probably frustrated because the pet shops sell the bulbs at $15 a pop and youre tired of it so I but so I decided to try one of these with the UV bulb since the heat bulb only produces heat why keep buying the ones that are in actual light bulb I figured this ceramic thing might work better didnt see much info while searching on Google on a quick search about it but anyway decides to give it a try Thus far which Ive only had in a couple of weeks it works great this dude is out all the time now and is getting pretty cold he was hiding in his Little Rock until I got this thing now hes out and eating well. As I mentioned above I do have an issue with the products I have purchased in the past from very large name brands and very large retailers not lasting nearly long enough in my opinion I do have my system on a timer so it does not run 24 /7 and it does have the jolt of electricity turning on and off every day which I can understand does aid wear and tare I however I think you should be able to get a year out of a $15 ball I will definitely report back if these bulbs go out on me in a short period of time that I seem to think its not suitable just so you guys can know if youre buying them what to expect But as far as the performance of the product I am pleased with it its a 100゚ in his basking spot I was in I was not able to get that with the light bulbs.

Greater than one weekI purchased a set of two heating bulbs to use for my plants before the winter storm came. I really like the heat that they put out and they seem to work well, except only one of the bulbs works; the other one does not come on at all. Major bummer.

> 3 dayI wasnt sure what size to get, so I got the 100 Watt. These put off some great heat and are so much better than the normal large heat lamp bulbs we use for baby chicks which break easily and the filaments burn out quickly. These seem like they will last a long time. After testing , I removed with hot pads. The base was not hot but the top was still super hot. So be careful and do not touch when hot. You cant tell if these are on other than putting your hand in front to feel the heat. You can see the size comparison to a normal sized bulb. Great price on a 2 pack of these.
