Its not necessarily THAT quiet, but the nature of the noise it makes keeps you from almost EVER noticing that its on. You just instantly mentally tune it out, and its actually quite a pleasant sound. But we havent even talked about the sheer AIR this thing moves. Wow. I have a studio that gets hot when im not home and when I get back and turn this thing on after opening the door, it takes about 3 minutes for the ambient room temperature to drop like 10 degrees. Its nuts. Cant recommend enough. Im buying another one just for under my bed, provides great white noise for sleeping and keeps so much air moving in the room, its wonderful. If you want, you can sleep in a wind tunnel =)

We use this fan on our bedroom at night. It runs for 8 to 10 hours everyday. Best fan we have ever used. After about 2 years they drum inside warped and started rubbing slowing down the fan, making lots of noise. I contacted the company to see how I could get this fixed and they sent me a new one very quickly. I would recommend the fan for any use and would say this was the best customer service I have ever received.

Ive had their previous blower fans and hated they covered one side with the plugs and control switch. Well seems they finally noticed their error and you have this great model. Its not drastically faster airflow but its noticable. Now the only gripe I have is they limited the range of motion. The older models would rotate all the way around. Sure they got stuck on the same foot but at least it would rotate all the way around. This one will rotate all the way back to blow horizontally backwards but rotating it down stops at about 45° and no longer will blow right at the front foot but honestly thats minor. I did use these at times for above door air curtain fashion. But for the better airflow Im accept this minor limitation. The noise created on low is just as loud as all previous models so dont expect it to run quietly. If youre new to this fan expect it to be as loud in low as a box fan runs on high...at a different frequency of course. Because its made of plastic you do not want to drop it because it will likely crack. My other were pretty sturdy and dropped really hard a couple times but survived. Sorry Im not going to drop mine too test for you ;) In summary, if you need a strong blower fan you can feel from 20ft away and has plugs on it (music of course) then this is the ultimate champion. Based on the reviews I expected it to make less noise on the lowest setting. There is no way I would even set this fan outside of my office door all day. If you are looking for a near silent fan on a low (or any) setting then look for something else. I do like that its adjustable to point airflow up/down. I’ve only just received it so I can’t comment on long term use/quality. Other than noise level it seems like a decent unit and work well in a shop/garage.

This is a very powerful fan and of course when set on high (3) it’s not quite but on the other hand it moves a lot of air, and the unit is very light, no wait to it at all , when the fan runs on 1or2 setting the noise is very low, overall it a winner as far as I’m concerned, DaveD.

I didn’t get a remote control (wasn’t aware I should). This blower is loud but it really moves air!

I bought this to take on the RV for those hot days sitting under the awning. Before I could use it, my staff convinced me to let them use it at the outdoor tiki bar. They love it! It’s quiet (extremely quiet compared to the big barrel fan they were using), moves a ton of air, and can be daisy chained together to run more if needed. I bought another one for the rv, and didn’t tell them I have it. ;-)

This fan is worth it. I am so impressed by the temperature of the air that comes out of this. Perfect for treadmills in garages or hot days on the porch. I might buy another one!

The fan isnt industrial strength and its smaller than youd think, but it does a decent job of moving air and is great for drying carpet as you can aim it at the floor.
