The case fits the WD 5TB My Passport perfectly. It provides some protection against drops & spills. It has a little extra space to hold cables.

Have a WD 5TB Elements Portable External Hard Drive which this claims will fit and it is too big for the carrying case to fit properly. The padding that goes on top of the drive only covers about half the drive and you have to squish it in there pretty firmly to close the case. So technically I guess you could say it fits but realistically it doesnt really fit. As far as quality it is about what you would expect for the price, decent nothing special but nothing terrible either.
