> 3 dayI love the soft, cushioned internal layers and the hard external case, it has a robust feeling. I have no clue about protection from water (lakes, toilets, ect)... Unfortunately, I have dropped the case a few times in parking lots and bedroom floor but the hd was unharmed every time. My husband bought this case for me about 2 years ago along with ext hd. I love and use the heck out of both:D
