Very sturdy, stays in place.

I have an iPad pro 12 and it holds it well even with a protective case. It really has changed the game for digital art on the iPad! My posture is so much better because of it. If you apply too much pressure with the pencil it will wobble or tilt, but if you weigh the bottom down with a book (I just use my free arm) theres no issue! I was worried about it tipping on its own and its sturdy enough that its a non issue.

My husband paid a lot more for my tablet stand. He ordered this one (reasonably priced) for our 8yo granddaughter. To sum this up quickly, I wish I had this one... the one he bought for her. This is a fine example of a lower priced item being a better quality item.
