Greater than one weekLove this external portable monitor, it was designed for Macbooks. Compatible with my Macbook 13.3. It comes with a extra type C cable, also compatible with my PC laptop.

Greater than one weekI misread the description and didn’t realize I was getting a monitor sized for a small MacBook. I have a 16” Windows based laptop. The good news is that it doesn’t just work on MacBooks. The monitor comes with a base plate that can be attached to the back of your laptop screen so that it becomes part of your laptop. It connects via a USB-C connection and is easy to connect and disconnect. There is a USB-C cord built in so that you don’t have a long cord to worry about when it is installed on your laptop. There is also a magnetic metal cover plate to protect the screen from damage during transport when closed. I didn’t want the screen permanently affixed to my laptop, so I use it as a separate unit. I use a regular USB-C to USB-C cable to connect as I need a little more distance than the built in one provides. This cable came with the monitor as well. I actually use the monitor in a portrait orientation with the baseplate as a base on the table next to my laptop. It works perfectly for my needs. The display size is only 6” x 10.25”, though, because of the size I ordered. Next time I’d get a larger one if possible. The monitor gets its power from the laptop so there are no other power supplies needed. The monitor has a built in speaker that can also be used for your audio output. Now for the display. The monitor has a matte anti-glare display. I’m used to a glossy high-resolution screen, so the matte display is not my favorite. The display colors are not as true either. The gray shows up with a pinkish hue unless you turn the brightness up and then it’s almost blue. There is a single wheel control for all of the settings. If you push it, a menu will come up that lets you adjust brightness, contrast, color, and a myriad of other settings through pushing and scrolling. There is even a low blue light setting, but that makes the display very yellow. I haven’t figured out the best mix of red, green, and blue to give me the white background that I want, but since I only use the monitor for text (mainly spreadsheets) I’m not as worried about the color.

> 3 dayThis portable monitor is nice to have if you are looking for a screen that can attach to your laptop monitor. The monitor is pretty thing but you do have to clip this to your laptop screen so that is where it increase in thickness. The only thing I will say is that this does make your mac bulkier. The nice thing is that there is an actual cover make it safer to carry the device around. You no longer have to worry about scratching or damaging the screen. For me, I am able to carry this around in my laptop bag. That being said, I will say is that the monitor is not too heavy. My macbook hinges were able to support the weight which is good. The laptop does not needs the stand in the back to handle the additional weight of this monitor. One thing to note is that the type c cable is actually integrated into the monitor clamp so if you break the cable you are a bit out of luck. It is nice though in that it makes cable management easier. I would have liked if they used a right angle cable. Also like that you can just tuck the cable in when you are not using it. The monitor is not touchscreen but it does have built in speaker. The sound output is not very loud. I did try it on other laptops and it does work but it just cannot clamp to those laptops. The clamp is not adjustable so it is meant for just one monitor size so be aware of that. It tries to mimic the color of the macbook but you can still tell the difference. Also the video quality is okay. It is not close to the retina display in terms of quality and brightness. You can tell the difference between the two screens which may annoy some people. It is definitely not the best monitor to use for gaming but it can be done. The nice thing is that you can easily unlatch this monitor. The latch is pretty strong so you should not have to worry about the latch falling off. The screen is not too easy to scratch and has a cover to protect it when you fold it back. It does not run hot which is good. The one thing I do not like is that the stand is a bit thin. It holds your laptop screen up. Overall this monitor is actually not bad and is catered toward apple. The video quality is not up to par with the apple monitor so you can tell the difference when working with both. It does not weight down your monitor down so it does not hurt the macbook hinges. The clamp is at least easy to put on and there is really no need to take it off after. It is pretty secure. The brightness is nice but again not the best and does take some time to get used to using both your main monitor and the portable. In my opinion, you can really tell the difference based on your laptop screen. It

> 3 dayA great addition to my MacBook. With its lightweight and compact design, it’s easy to use wherever I need. It also fit my regular PC laptop but only the vertical way, won’t be able to attach to PC laptop since the bracket. Overall, it’s a good product.
