> 3 dayThese are the new breed of sock-sneakers that came out a couple years ago. They are 1/4 the price of real sneakers and run the gamut from machine wachable (with thin soles) to heavy, breathable mesh uppers (with light-weight but thick soles). These are the latter, heavy-duty kind. They are good enough for the gym or walking around the city. The light-weight sole will not last as long as a real pair of sneakers, but at 1/4 the price consider these disposable. In the long run these are cheaper and more comfortable than real sneakers even with being replaced as needed. I have been washing real sneakers in the front-loading washing machine over the years with good results (throw in a couple old towels with the sneakers). These would almost certainly be machine washable at least a couple times. Then again, they are so cheap that it might be time to replace them, not wash them. Washing wont improve a worn-out sole.
