Greater than one weekTired of running PLEX on windows so decided to buy a cheap machine to put Ubuntu 22.04 on that would HW transcode. This thing was oneseventy plus fifty for 8G dual channel ram and a 250G M.2 SSD. Runs like a dream and doesn’t crash like windows. Transcoding 4 streams simultaneous at less than 20% CPU utilization. Also loaded PiHole for Network wide Ad blocking and will probably add a few more appliance functions. Can’t say enough about this. It annihilates my NUC7i5 in PLEX and temp/noise. This thing is rock solid, cool, & SILENT. Set it and forget it. I did have to buy an HDMI dummy for threebucks to get RDP to work.

> 3 dayI bought one of these with the sole purpose of making it a hypervisor/ESXi host. With a little ingenuity I accomplished my goal. Great machine that handles every virtual machine I throw at it. Hooray Intel for making this little gem!

> 3 dayWow! Very snappy/fast, like my *Core-i5* Dell. How can this quad-core N5105 NUC processor (w/Passmark score: 4094) be of budget class, yet it rivals my older Core-i5 2500 (w/Passmark score: 4107)? ...Anyway, this NUC crushes all of my home-office needs, with ease!
