> 3 dayFast and great CPU! If you are just strictly going to game just go with the i5! But I do both game and editing so this is a great CPU to start with.

> 3 dayThis CPU replaced a defective i5 I bought and I couldn’t be happier. It runs fast and pretty cool for my work load and moderate gaming. The price was a steal. If you plan on serious gaming make sure you have decent cooling.

> 3 dayGreat product!! Easy to install. Ran a 10th fan i7 in my old computer and loved it. New computer has the 12 th gen i7 and I love it.

> 3 dayIf you are using this hard, get a large cooler, it has many cores and they can generate heat. That done, it is great.

> 3 dayJust avoid this cpu all together unless youre a fanboy or stuck on anything older than 4th gen. Both i5 and i7 here on a rtx 3080. Gaming is pointless on this cpu and its just a fact. In 1440p and 4k u gain absolutely nothing over my old 10700k. Except for horrible Temps. This will average Temps at least 10c higher then previous Intel or my ryzen 5900x. And worst part is Intels unnecessary change in cpu cooler layout. U will spend weeks finding a cooler or trying to get manufacturer to send u a bracket to update existing cooler. Literally had to return my first one I purchased from best buy because I couldnt even find a cooler within the 15 day return policy and didnt want stuck with a DOA product. And the fact AMD is already releasing ryzen 3d which surpasses this by 20% it makes this jump to Intel again pointless. Because we all know Intel will change socket and layout again leaving us stranded again with no cooling options. Worse part. Not even a cooler in box to test cpu with. Had to buy a hideous noctua as it was only thing I could get my hands on that fit

05-11-2024I upgraded from an i7-4770 DDR3 and built a 12700k DDR5 PC and this thing flies. A mild overclock and xmp profile has programs opening instantaneously, and installs are super fast. No real workloads or gaming has been done yet, but I wanted the best, but didnt want to pay 12900k prices, and for gaming the I7 preforms only 1-2% slower according to most reviewers, so I will not be missing that tiny bit of performance.

> 3 dayUpgraded from an i5-7500 and a B8 gigabyte mobo. I was torn between a 13 gen i5 and this, and Im happy I chose this! First off, the box came damaged. The cpu was fine though. I paired this with a MSI z690 Tomahawk and a Thermalright peerless 120 se. The cooler keeps this guy at around 80*F, while gaming. As for the CPU, its a beast. I havent even tapped into what it can handle. I bought this when it went on sale for $264. Just for kicks, I had like 25 chrome tabs, afterburner, discord, a few random programs and Hogwarts Legacy all open and the CPU didnt get past 100*F nor did the CPU load go beyond 40%. The multitasking is wild. The thread count is crazy. Bottom line. This CPU is an awesome purchase and you wont be disappointed.

03-11-2024I put together a gaming PC collecting parts over time as I had funds to purchase. Finally put it all together and it ran well for about 2 weeks and then I began having blue-screen crashes. Now it wont even complete a windows install on a clean drive without crashing. Tried two mother boards, 6 memory sticks, 3 NVMe drives, and two power supplies before being forced to realize the processor is causing my issue. I am now out of the quick return path grace period and must try to RMA through Amazon. If you buy one of these chips, or any part for that matter, use it right away in case it is a bad part.
