> 3 dayIm a first time builder, and Im working with this CPU, it overheat 3 times in bios when i first started out. Overheats on cinebench and some games that push it to about 40% CPU usage. There are work arounds but as a first time builder i would have preferred to not have to deal with that. Nevertheless, at least Ive experienced dealing with a chip that runs very hot.

> 3 dayI upgraded from an i7-4770 DDR3 and built a 12700k DDR5 PC and this thing flies. A mild overclock and xmp profile has programs opening instantaneously, and installs are super fast. No real workloads or gaming has been done yet, but I wanted the best, but didnt want to pay 12900k prices, and for gaming the I7 preforms only 1-2% slower according to most reviewers, so I will not be missing that tiny bit of performance.

> 3 dayDefinitely be sure to have adequate cooling on this beast - even with a moderate overclock youre quickly drawing a ton of power and making a ton of heat! Great value for money if you need the horsepower for CAD, photo/video work and gaming.

> 3 dayIntel obviously isnt a slouch when it comes to processors. However, this one really hits the sweet spot between performance and price. Well see what happens when AMD releases the Ryzen 7000 series later this year, but if you dont want to wait, generally prefer Intel, and dont want to spring for an i9, this processor will absolutely take what you can throw at it.

Greater than one weekI bought four of these to upgrade PCs around my house. Blazing fast runs cool. Be wary of the coolers you buy.

> 3 daythe cpu seem fine ( no noticeable damage ) but for me that unboxing look very sketchy and low quality for a 600$CAD product

Greater than one weekPushing over 17000 on timespy with this baby without any fancy overclocking. Using the asus tuf mobo because ddr5 is sold out everywhere and the rog mobo wont fit my noctua fan. Check your fans site to make sure you have an lga 1700 functionality and that your mobo doesnt have mechanically problematic design.
