These 4x4 post bases are quite heavy, and feel very sturdy. They should work fine for putting up a pergola/gazebo, archway, fence, or other applications... These fit nominal 4x4 beams. Just secure the base to a flat surface, drop in the beam, and then secure them with screws (via the holes on the sides). For lighter/non-structural applications you might not even need to secure the bases to the ground. Do not try to use true 4 square beams, as you would need to whittle down the ends where it connects with these bases.

These are much better looking and a lot stronger than the galvanized ones I buy at the lumber yard. They fit the post, and even have a metal plate in the bottom to keep the post off whatever is under it. Very nice. If you plan to stain or paint I suggest you do it before you put the posts into these anchors.

These are heavy duty. More so than expected. Finish seems like it’ll last. Very nice finish overall.

Build Quality The 4x4 mounts are well made and have no defects. The paint covers the entire mount. The steel is thick, straight and strong. This meets my expectations and is a very strudy support for a 4x4 post. Installation These post mounts can be mounted to concrete using threaded rods easily. Once mounted 4x4 can be added and secured using securing screws using the provided holes. Use: There is a slight(appropriate) amount of space to insert a 4x4 with no need for a shim. Once secured and framed out they are very sturdy. Final thoughts: these are excellent 4x4 mounts that are thick , durable, precision made and they look great. I recommend them!

I had to replace the newell post on my outdoor deck that leads to the stairs rail. The Insaga 4x4 post base was a stylish way to attach the new post to the deck while also protecting the base from wear. Sometimes we tie a leash around the base of the post for the dog to be outside. However, when she runs around, it eats away at the base of the wood post. The post base provides a protective cover for the post base. It was easy to install, seems to be durable and looks great!

TBH I didnt really know what to expect when I ordered these. This sort of item tends to be pretty hit or miss when ordering online...unless you can hold them, its hard to tell how sturdy they feel and if Id feel confident in trusting them to brace the feet of a structure such as a pergola, which is my intended purpose for these. While I havent actually installed these yet (building of the pergola starts this summer), I was so impressed by the beefiness of these that I wanted to give a bit of reassurance to those who might be on the fence like I was (pun intended, especially if youre thinking of using these on a fence).

Husband used these to secure the legs of our railing at the bottom of the stairs to the ground floor deck. Made the job easy, and these keep the legs secure and no wobbling. Very pleased and will order more for future projects.

Super nice - these bases are very heavy duty. The listing says it is 2mm steel and although it sounds thick, I cant think in metric and now that I see and feel them I agree that its a substantial piece. The powder coating and welds are excellent. It will definitely hold the lumber in place because of how solid it is. I bought a set of plain brackets to build an entire pergola but I will change out the bases with these as the design is very ornate. Great set of brackets - especially for the price!

I anchored these into concrete to use as strong light poles/ DIY pergola. They are very heavy and do not bend or flex at all which is very nice. 100% worth the extra money to get some this high- quality.

I was happy to come across these for a backyard project. They have a good heft and feel like they will be durable and weather, the weather.
