I use these every single day to put heartburn medication in, inside my husband‘s lunch. I didnt measure the 1x1 bags, but they look like they are that size. They open and close just fine, though it can be a little difficult simply because they are so tiny. I bought them mainly to store tomato seeds, and they are perfect for that purpose.
