I purchased this phone after contacting Huawei Support to make sure that this international model would work in the USA. I then asked if I damaged the phone if I could have it repaired in the USA and they claimed yes because there is a Huawei repair center in Texas. Well, I broke the LCD screen recently and found out that not only can the phone not be repaired in the USA at all (they dont support the model), I cant even ship it to Europe to have it repaired because I have to LIVE in Europe to have it repaired there. Its a great phone, but VERY disappointed in the customer service experience and lack of solutions for damaged phones. I recommend getting the Mate 10 instead, which apparently is supported for repairs in the US... although who knows for sure.

Even though I had read some sketchy reviews mostly related to the seller, I pulled the trigger. Mainly because I cracked my Note 8 on deployment and Samsung didnt ship to APOs. Boy am I glad that I did. This phone has simply the most amazing camera Ive seen on any phone. Dont let the iPhone weebs tell you otherwise. I honestly cant wait for the p20.

I received my phone today took it to have a new SIM activated. After troubleshooting with level 3 tech support at AT&T (matching the IMEI #s and SIM), finally figured out that though in settings its capable of receiving 4g and LTE high-speed mode, its NOT receiving any Mobile data at all, only if Wifi is turned on can I access the internet. I called Huawei and followed their troubleshooting steps which included sharing the SN they finally told me that the phone was ONLY configured for Europe and was INCAPABLE of running properly in the US. Their tech support, however, did offer about 30 frequency bands to give to AT&T to help the situations. Ive purchased at least 3 international/unlocked versions of phones this one was a HUGE disappointment....Dont buy this phone from this vender.

I bought this to replace my Galaxy S7 Edge and Ive been very happy with it. Its little bit taller than my S7, but not much wider or heavier. The screen is very good, though not quite as vibrant as the Samsung. The phone is plenty snappy and will handle anything I want to do easily (note that I am not a gamer). I have service through AT&T, and I was able to just pop my sim card in everything worked fine without having to adjust any settings. Huawei uses its own version of Android (EMUI), but its not nearly as intrusive or annoying as the software on my Samsung. (This was a major reason I didnt want to buy another Samsung.) I use a custom launcher from Microsoft and the phone handles this just fine. Its easy to use Googles own apps for just about everything other than the phone dialer, and it doesnt come preloaded with a bunch of junk. The camera: This is the primary reason for buying this phone. The camera has three lenses on the back, and it takes fantastic photos. The default mode uses some AI processing to figure out what youre shooting and adjust the settings accordingly. (See the attached pic of a spider in the garden. TW: Its a spider!) Most of the time it gets it exactly right, but sometimes playing around with the settings helps. It also has a night mode that will take continuous exposures for four seconds, and then the AI stitches them together into one image. The results are amazing (see the attached night shot). The photos actually end up looking much brighter than how they appear with the naked eye, so its kinda sorta like night vision. The zoom feature also works really well, at least in daylight. All of the reviews praising this phone for its camera are right. I dont know much about photography, I just know that I get even better pics from this phone than I did with my Samsung, and I was really impressed with that. The battery: Its big, and it lasts all day and often fairly far into the next day. This phone has three modes of charging: regular, fast, and super. Super only works when you use the supplied charger from Huawei, and its really fast. However, the phone also supports fast charging with the Power Delivery (PD) standard if youre using a type C-to-type C charger and cord. This means it will show fast charging when I use third-party PD chargers (I have one from Aukey that I use for my laptop). And while fast charging isnt as fast as super charging, its fast enough. When I plug this into my QC 2.0 or 3.0 charger using a type A-to-type C cord, it just shows regular charging. So the bottom line is that the Huawei proprietary system is best, but you can also buy generic PD charges and it will work just fine. Odds and ends: The fingerprint reader is super fast. Audio through the included type C adapter (on admittedly cheap headphones) is good and plenty loud. A screen protector is already on the phone out of the box, which is really nice (although it does tend to get smudged easily). I ordered a Spigen rugged armor case, which fits great and offers good protection. Problems? Nothing significant. I miss the headphone jack and wireless charging. With this nice of a camera I wish it also had a dedicated camera button on the side. Looking forward to Android 9. (It arrived running 8.0 and immediately updated to 8.1.)

Great phone with an amazing camera that outperforms by iPhone 8+ camera for low light and travel photographs. The AI features are sometimes over aggressive for selfies, and in the USA many of the Huawei online features do not work, but mostly they can be removed and the Google defaults can be used.

Me gusta su forma, batería con carga rápida y la camada me encanta

The Huawei P20 Pro isn’t one of those underwhelming phones that get churned out annually with a negligible upgrade – this device is something special. Super-stylish and packed with features, this flagship smartphone has been created with an OLED screen, a bezel-less design and a glass back, while the octa-core processor and 6GB of RAM mean that it’s fast. Then there are the fantastic front 24MP and rear 40MP cameras that not only shames competitors due to picture quality and speed, they positively destroy their ‘innovative’ reputations too.
