> 24 hourInstalled on a Raspberry Pi 3B, this facilitates getting data from sensors out in an agricultural field to internet. Sensors talk wifi to the Pi, and the Pi talks cellular to internet. Using a Soracom SIM and data service. The dongle with Soracom SIM also works from a Linux (Kubuntu 18.04) laptop and a Windows 10 laptop. I set these up first before the Pi. Some fumbling was involved to insert the SIM which will fit in at least two different orientations (possibly even four!) but works in only one. The dongle fortunately has a status LED that blinks green when connected. Just received a second of the same dongle (and second Soracom SIM) to use in laptops, since the first is working so simply and effectively in the Pi.

> 24 hourReceived the HUAWEI MS2372h-517 LTE USB Stick and plugged it into the USB port, as the directions that came with the device instructed to do. The Windows 10 PC recognized the device like a CD but would not show the software, like many other USB cellular devices I have had. Just as xeromist posted, I had no luck with getting Windows 10 recognizing the USB modem. Being an EE, I was bound and determined to get this working with an Unlimited Data Plan I had purchased from Internet Headquarters USA. So, I went to a site that I knew had the drivers and the dialer. I downloaded the software. Made sure they were from the manufacturer, HUAWEI and SUCCESS!!! I am now getting over 10 Mbps down and 4 Mbps up through a popular Speed Tester. In conclusion, one needs to do quite a bit of work to get this device working. As usual, persistence pays off.

> 24 hourI dont know if its a Microsoft issue or a Huawei issue but when you plug this into the latest 1809 version of Windows nothing works out of the box. It creates a virtual CD-ROM device which should have the driver but no volume mounts. I ended up having to download the HUAWEI DataCard Driver 6.00.08.00 from a 3rd party website and just cross my fingers that it was not malware. This should be downloadable from Huawei but as far as I can tell it is not. Stupid. Once you install the DataCard driver everything works as expected. I also tested it on Android and it worked fine after setting up the APN

> 24 hourNo drivers! I had to search hard for the drivers. The external antenna ports are flimsy and the dont stay connected. If I found out earlier, I would have returned it.

> 24 hourThe modem over all is great. Just know if you not using this on linux finding the software can be difficult.

> 24 hourThe listing is for a new unit. The 4G modem I got was not new. There was foam tape on the outside. The original cover for the USB port wasnt there. No instructions/setup sheet you normally get in a new box. Still havent been able to get it to work and i am pretty sure it wont even work for the purpose i bought it for

> 24 hourPortability is Key however the external antennas dont seem to fit and I dont want to. force them. they just fall over and. or. completely fall out. Connection. certainly can not be good or better when using them. I will hold on a rating until such time someone can tell me if there is a technique for properly connecting these external antennas without force. As for what Mark K. stated about the Windblows 10 or Huawei connection issues, I will say it is Without doubt microsucks windblows 10 that is the issue. Huawei is a well made and working product in its release unlike microsucks operating beta release systems as working couple with invasive non fix and deliverence of new non working problimatic software causing more issues without so much as even fixing the pre existant issues. Mark K your 10mb down loads and 5 up through Rural Network Industries sucks. they seem to be capping everyone at a level below HD streaming. I also connect thru them and have comparison stats. I will be connecting possibly to the newest Amazon Satelite or. ground based internet in the works.... stay tuned. Love HUAWEI !!!

> 24 hourOne star because I cant do negative stars. Buyer beware, the manufacturer has ceased supporting this product. In the case of this device, ATT will not even provision it to the network any longer. Money figuratively down the drain - Im so pissed and disappointed that I spends the money and wasted 4 hours trying to get it to work.
