> 3 dayClearly NOT an OEM cable. Even it was produced in the same plant, it looks and performs differently. Several examples follow, most observed within minutes of starting to use the cable. Strike 1: Visual evidence against OEM. The HTC typeface is wrong (its easy to see that it is different from the picture on the product page, which is the correct typeface). Further, the logo sticker was affixed grossly unevenly, far less precisely than any OEM cable Ive owned. Strike 2: Condition does not appear new. The casing around the A connector (which plugs into a computer or wall adapter) is scratched, making the cable look used. Strike 3: Computer compatibility issues. Finally, when plugged into a computer, it launches an incessant barrage of AutoPlay windows. My HTC OEM cable launches a few, but this launches another every few seconds--far too interruptive to use this cable with a computer, greatly diminishing its utility. Even after changing computer settings to suppress the barrage, the windows still open and automatically close themselves. While to a lesser degree, this is still interfering with normal usage of my computer. Strike 4: Yes, Strike 4. Even after changing my settings to suppress the barrage, making it more bearable to leave the phone plugged into my computer, the battery is draining... more slowly than if not plugged in, but this is unacceptable. My only solace is that the cable cost me about $3, but I think it is safe to call this false advertising of a bad product.

> 3 dayUnusable, will not stay connected. Original OEM cable and car charger received with phone still work perfectly. This is not OEM dispite being labeled HTC. This is an inferior product. Three attempts to contact seller went unanswered. Will not use this seller in the future.

03-11-2024Wish the gauge of cable was just a tiny bit thicker, but works as expected.
