> 24 hourIve received six of these so far – a mix of the LIM111 (1x), LIM101 (1x), and BIM111 (4x) revisions. Both LIM revisions appear identical in all aspects that I can see, while the BIM revisions have some serious quality differences. See attached photos for a comparison (LIM on left and BIM on right). The stock color difference is not as extreme as it looks, thats just distortion on camera due to the anti-glare coating, its only roughly half as bad. LIM111/LIM101 (LG): • No flickering • Good anti-glare coating and no visible graininess • Beautiful and vibrant color • Strong and accurate whites/grays • Great viewing angles • Moderate IPS glow BIM111 (BOE): • Flickers a lot (more on that below) • Excessive anti-glare coating that causes visible graininess on the screen • Weaker color vibrancy • Weaker whites/grays • Poor viewing angles • Minimal IPS glow For those who have a mix of BIM and LIM revisions, I recommend trying out custom RGB on both – (245, 255, 255) on LIM and (255, 255, 255) on BIM. Theres still a noticeable difference, you cant get them to match without drastically hurting color accuracy on LIM, but its a decent improvement. Do not install an ICC profile on the BIM revisions unless its specifically tuned for it. 3 of the 4 BOE panels that I received flicker, including replacements from different warehouses. The flickering is like a momentary 20-30% drop in brightness, and it happens in batches of 2-3 times over the course of several seconds, generally reoccurring every 5-30 minutes. I couldnt find any settings that helped, including reducing the refresh rate and disabling adaptive sync, nor swapping the cables with a LIM panel that didnt flicker. It seems like theres possibly a flicker lottery going on here too...

> 24 hourUpgraded to this from my samsung 27” curved monitor and it was worth it after playing around with the settings I was able to get the the picture to where i liked it. The monitor stand itself has the slightest horizontal tilt to it which bugs me a little bit when im not locked in while gaming but its worth the pick up if its on sale and you need a new monitor.

> 24 hourBought this monitor for my daughter for casual 1440p gaming on Black Friday for $170. It’s a great deal! Overall I’d say it’s on par with my 27” Dell 2721DGF 165hz. Good: 1. HP’s color is vivid and rich. Image quality is better than Dell. 2. So far no IPS glow or corner bleeding. And no bad pixel. 3. Low latency and actual gaming response time seems good. Not feeling any slower than Dell. However, fast moving object (fps game) is not as clear as Dell. 4. Thin bezel - excellent for dual monitor setup. 5. Incredible value for an IPS panel at this price. Bad: 1. Build quality is average. The plastic bezel is not really straight if you look closely. The back panel is also cheap and flimsy. 2. Only one HDMI and one display port. No usb or usbc port And the display port comes with the monitor is short. 3. Power socket is slightly loose. I need to really push the cable connector all the way in to get power. 4. Does not work well with AMD image sharpening. Looks really bad even with 10% sharpening setting. 5. Free sync is not consistent. Experienced some stuttering from time to time. Never has this issue with Dell. I don’t use free sync often so not a big deal to me.

> 24 hourThis is a great screen out of the box. 165hz, 1ms ensures gameplay is butter smooth so long as your rig can hit those frames. Product description does not mention compatibility with Nvidia G-Sync, but I can confirm that it is compatible for a tear-free experience. The included displayport cable is a bit temperamental, it took me a bit to figure out it was the cable. Using a good quality cable fixed the issues of HDR not being detected, and sometimes the monitor not picking up that there was picture being output on power on. All in all fantastic value for the available features, well worth dealing with some minor annoyances that dont require more than a quick search online for easy solutions.

> 24 hourZero complaints. Adjustable stand works, stand footprint isnt too big. Great picture quality, refresh rate, and latency for $210 dollars. At the price I bought it at it was an absolute steal. If anyone is looking for a 1440p monitor at a great price that checks all the boxes this is my #1 recommendation.

> 24 hourTheyve made a silent downgrade for this monitor: its no longer using LG panels. They now use BOE, which is a cut-rate panel with much worse quality control. Ive got it for a song, but Im starting to think that Im getting what Ive paid for.

> 24 hourProbably the best 1440p monitor you can get for the price. Comes with DP cable (No HDMI). Colors look great and I haven’t had any issues with dead pixels or backlight bleeding. Definitely should go with this if you’re balling on a budget.

> 24 hourUsed for gaming, photo editing, general computer-ing. HP pulled a bait-and-switch with this monitor, and you may get a superior LG panel or a subpar BOE panel. If you can get it for less than $200 its a steal either way, and a HUGE improvement from 1080p 60hz. IPS glow is kind of bad. My lower left corner has bad IPS glow, lower right is noticeable, top corners are fine.
