Clear images. Nice colors. Significantly better than the 1080p $100 Acer monitor I bought from best buy. Really nice adjustable stand.

I purchased this monitor to replace a 10-year HP22. This monitor was very easy to install and set up. I used the Thunderport 3.0 USB-C with a video adapter and attached it to the supplied HDMI cable and it connected seamlessly. I was able to quite easily change the settings to get the monitor to be a very good match to my laptop. I really like the stand as the monitor is about 7 inches higher than the work surface. The monitor also tilts very easily. I did a lot of research on various sites and this was rated by one site to be the best cheap monitor recommended, especially for gaming which I really do not do. It was packed very well and the assembly instructions were typical. One screw attaches the base to the upright and the upright snaps into a receptacle on the back of the monitor. One nice feature is that it is also very easy to disassemble. Very nice unit at a very reasonable price.

Bought for my son for gaming. The clarity and brightness is perfect for his online gaming. Using as dual monitor for his computer with another hp. Very pleased with HP monitors.

This is an excellent monitor which can serve multiple purposes. I have briefly tried it for gaming and general computer use and found it to be excellent there. However I primarily use it as a security camera monitor where it is showing live video transmission from multiple cameras. The detail is outstanding and the color saturation is excellent. There are a number of settings available to adjust brightness and other settings but I have found the standard settings, for the most part, to be excellent without being adjusted.

At last can play my games at more than 60hz !!!! Playing world of warships high graphics at 85 hz and warframe at 120hz could drive more but thats what my current video card can work with at a leisure pace . The absolute top is 144hz.

4.4 stars. Overall I like it, but it suffers from backlight bleed (gray edges on left & right side of screen). BOTTOM LINE: Dont pay full retail for it, but worth it if on sale for 160 bucks or less, and you dont need a rotation/pivot feature. Most people dont need a refresh rate above 60 Hz, but if you are a hardcore gamer or have extra-sensitive eyes, the 144 Hz option is nice to have. PROS: + The brightness is exceptional; I had to turn it DOWN to around 50% to be easier on the eyes. + Easy height adjustment; simply slide it up or down. + No bad or stuck pixels initially. + Stand is solid. DEMERITS (minus 0.6 stars): - Did NOT come with a DisplayPort cable (but did include HDMI cable). - Backlight edge bleed. At this price point (MSRP 230 bucks), theres no excuse. Especially obvious on the entire left vertical edge of screen (gray edge instead of white), and nearly as bad on right side. Fortunately, the edge bleed/gray problem is only distracting when background is white or very light. Not really noticeable when gaming full-screen. Its not terrible enough to return the monitor (not a fun process), but I considered it. NEUTRALS: ~ Not easy to entirely hide cables (poor cable management options), unless you bend them excessively, because the ports are bottom facing near bottom of rear. ~ Windows 10 did NOT install a driver automatically, and DisplayPort connection didnt work properly. Had to go to HP dot com and find the right one; after manual install, DisplayPort OK. ~ No rotation/pivot. You can buy a different stand that allows it to rotate, but that means spending more $. There are some similar-ish 24-inch HP models that do rotate, such as: HP 24mh (75 Hz) HP VH240a (60 Hz, no DisplayPort)

The hp website acknowledges this problem and says to change your settings through the OMEN Gaming Hub. Under Refresh rate settings there is little to no ghosting at the 2nd level of response time speed. I would recommend using that setting or the 3rd speed if you really want fast response time but after that point there is noticeable ghost. The fastest setting is unplayable for competitive gaming.
