We just received this rail today. My husband wasn’t thrilled with the supplied hardware (nor was I - silver hardware for a black rail?). So he used some black 2” long 1/4” lag bolts we already had. Perfect. Took him all of a minute or two to mount it on a column next to our porch step. This one was a bit more pricey than some others, but it is seriously heavy duty. The angle of the plate where it wraps the corner of the column seems to add stability and also meant it was just a tad closer to the step. We only have one step, so got the 18” rail. Again, works perfectly for our set-up without having to mount something to the cement or sink it into the ground next to it.

This product provides outstanding support to those who need extra help in navagating from home to attached garage or elsewhere. Well made and easy to install...an exceptional buy.

I like these because they are very sturdy. I have 3 steps from my living room to my kitchen and I am older and have already fell down them twice. These handrails give me a feeling of security.

The safety rail makes it safer for my husband and I to get up two steps from the garage into the house. It is so much sturdier than the grab bar we had before.

These are sturdy and simple to install. We needed one for the door from the garage and one for the step down from the patio. MIL is visiting late this summer and we are installing some aids for her safety. These are a perfect solution.
