Frankly a cardboard box stuffed with toilet paper would do a better job. Better yet, put it in a ziplock back wrapped in a paper towel and then you have moisture protection. Sorry for the sarcasm a true hard eyeglass case would work better and cost less. In fact, I just tried my eye glass case and it will easily hold the drive and offers a lot more protection.

I got this case for my SanDisk 4TB extreme Portable SSD. Could not be happier with it. I have a similar case for another WD drive, so I knew what I was getting when I ordered this. It holds the drive in a safe case along with a short cord. Perfect to throw in your bag and contain everything you need to get this drive connected so you can use it. It provides decent protection to float around in a backpack with other gear.

It solves the problem of how to throw an expensive SSD into your computer bag and not scratch it up. You can put in a couple of USB sticks in with it too.
