Folks, I don’t think that it is often someone actually reviews something like athletic tape. However, I had to make an exception for this product, because this product is dope. Look, athletic tape is athletic tape. You hurt yourself, need support, whatever, you tape that up. Then after you are done, you rip it off, you lose any hair that was attached to it, and you spend the next two days trying to remove that gooey sticky residue from your body. Sounds about right? Well, that’s athletic tape. Here’s where this product differed for me. I taped up my finger because I wanted to protect it after jamming it in Brazilian Jujitsu. While I trained again, the tape stayed on and it did exactly what you’d expect athletic tape to do. However, when it was time to remove it, the tape came off super easily, and it didn’t leave behind any of that sticky mess or take any of my hair! That is dope! Say what? No glue to clean up after? Word y’all, this tape is the dopest one I’ve ever used. I bought one pack, but I’m gonna pick up another, this is just too damn good to not keep on reserve! Anyway, now you know why I reviewed athletic tape! If you need some good athletic tape, pick up some of that Hamptom Adams white athletic tape.

This tape is sticky... stickier then the sports tape I usually purchase in an individually wrapped package from the local Wally Land. This is a good thing because it sticks onto the ace bandages that I use. But its also a bit annoying because it oozes out a bit on the side of the roll, makes it harder to get an edge to start unrolling and leaves glue residue on your skin that you need rubbing alcohol to remove. BUT... the purpose of the tape is to hold my Ace bandage in place and the other stuff doesnt matter to me that much and I will still buy it, use it and recommend it to others in the rare chance that someone actually asks me for my preferred brand of sticky sports tape. I would include a picture but trust me, you really dont want to see a picture of my legs.

I needed this to wrap an ankle that tends to roll and the reviews were positive. In addition to this product I purchased the Tuf Skin spray and pre-wrap. I find this tapes adhesion to be excellent, maybe even TOO good. It can be a tiny bit sticky from roll to roll, resulting in a small bit of wasted tape. But I like its strength and thickness and in 98% of cases, very easy to rip. Removing the tape is relatively easy with a good pair of scissors. My young athlete indicates that the wrap provides good stability and security. I dont feel like it takes a ton of this tape to provide a great ankle taping, making it a great option. It comes in a pack of 3 and, at 5 ankle wraps per week, the 3 rolls last me roughly 2 weeks. I see comparable brands at competitive prices but I think this provides a bit more linear feet and it has proven itself to be a good purchase that Ive repeated several times. Overall happy with this product, only complaints being that it can be a bit sticky, which makes it harder to rip, creating a bit of twisting.

I used to cover an parcial acl tear over my knee, it stabilized it. Works for about 2 days and a half before needing to change.

As a boxer, besides our wraps and gloves the tape is our best friend. It protects our fingers from the constant beating we give to the mitts and heavy bag. Before stumbling this tape my fingers were aching non stop and at certain times it went down to my bones. It wasnt about proper wrapping techniques but, because I wasnt using tape to properly let me rehab my fingers. Ever since I purchased the tape and started taping my fingers, I was able to continue my training (4x per week) and feel no discomfort whatsoever, none. Thanks to this tape I can keep on training worry free. When it comes to comfort, you hardly notice your fingers are taped up, the adhesive properties are also incredible. I wash my hands when I have I on and I see no change in loosening up, Its a top notch product. A 3 pack for $9.99 is definitely a steal, Im still on my first roll. I highly recommend this tape to anyone who boxes and who has finger issues due to injuries.

Hampton Athletic Tape is a must have item if you need to tape up an injury. During this pandemic, my clumsiness has become more apparent as I have not only broken toes but also sprained a tendon in my foot. As a result, I needed to tape my injuries and ensure the product I used was easy to apply, maintained a strong adhesion, and was comfortable. This athletic tape hit all the marks. It is made of premium 100% cotton cloth grade medical material thereby making it breathable and comfortable on the skin. The manufacturer notes that no tape cutters are needed when using this product. However, I found it easier to snip it slightly with scissors to start and then tear. I was able to split the material in half and when torn there is no fraying. It applied it to my skin with minimal effort and if I needed to readjust it, I didn’t have to worry about it not sticking - because it did. I also noticed that it did not leave any glue stain residue. The tape stayed put despite frequent hobbling efforts around the house. The three pack was well packed and takes up minimal shelf space. I healed from my injuries quickly and easily. Very impressed with Hampton Athletic Tape and highly recommend it.

This tape does not tear easily. You need a pair of sissors.

Not comfortable and cut into my feet. Difficult to remove, and leaves indentations. This is thicker, more like tape for bandage than athletic tape. Kind of reminds me of grip tape for bats.
