This tapes was very sticky so adhered to cardboard boxes easily. The reinforcing in it left me feeling very comfortable that the boxes I was taping closed would stay sealed. It is very sticky so you have to take care not to let it touch itself when applying. I used a simple box knife to cut it while applying as I do not have/use a tape gun. Not something you can tear by hand.

I ordered the GOSTAUNCH Tape to apply to freezer paper (used to wrap raw meats, fish, & vegetables), because I needed a tape that would withstand freezing temperatures while remaining affixed to the paper, in an attempt to prevent freezer-burn; especially when the package was in the freezer for a lengthy amount of time. This tape had fiber reinforced strips and adhesive backing that were durable enough to remain bonded to the freezer paper that wrapped meat, etc. A bonus for me was that the ½” in width roll of tape, fit on a towel rack that I use to store a large spool of freezer-wrap paper; eliminating the need for me to search for the tape, each and every time I needed to use it.

I had to tape up a treadmill in a thrown together box and this tape is the only thing that was able to hold over 100 pounds all together. Amazing! I can’t believe I’m fawning over tape but it saved me hundreds of dollars.

I got these because I just sent a 40 pound package 1000 miles through the mail in a cardboard box that Ive had since 1996. The box was never in the rain or anything, but it was 26 years old and not in pristine condition. I wrapped the box in 2 inch wide cellophane tape because I had run out of the fiberglass reinforced strapping tape I really wanted. I overwrapped the cellophane tape with gaffers tape because it was the strongest stuff I had. I probably spent 10 bucks on tape because I didnt have the good stuff like this from goStaunch. So, for about a buck and a half (about 30 feet at a nickel a foot) I could have had this tape on my old box and not have worried about it making the trip. I know better now and I am prepared for the next time this happens. You cannot hardly break this stuff and it will pull cardboard fibers off an old box with only a slight amount of pressure applied. It is great packing tape.
