There used to be a button on top to open it and a button on the back to manually deploy the fragrance. They have removed the button on the back and now the top button manually deploys the fragrance. You now need to pry it apart at the side (there are little ribs near the bottom) to insert new fragrance can, change the batteries, or set the spray time interval. This is not easy for the elderly or people with finger issues (arthritis etc.). As I got this for my mom, she just lets it run out and I change it when I visit.

These things are pretty cool. I was using scented wax melts but these are cheaper and more subtle to just put a pleasant scent in the air.

Love these sprayers. Comes with the batteries for the console pieces And they keep my home smelling fresh.

Personally like the Cashmere Woods when using throughout the house ... other scents smell too bathroomy

This thing never worked. I tried several sets of fresh batteries, toggled the controls, used online tricks. Nothing. I put it aside when I had a personal emergency. I found it again and now it’s too late for a return. I guess I’ll go to Walmart or Target to get one. Online ordering is convenient but a hassle if there is a problem.

I have 3 already needed another for my bathroom I love them and the refills are everywhere not hard to find

I like this item, I have cats, so I hung it on the wall near their litter box. I also like that it can be set on a counter or hung from the wall. It has three different times settings you can choose from for how often you would like it to spray and an array of choices for different scent refills. My favorite is cool watermelon. I definitely plan to buy at least one more of these for the bathroom.

THESE ARE VERY DIFFICULT FOR SENIORS TOP OPEN TO LOAD BATTERIES & CANNED SCENT. ADDING A PUSH BUTTON TO OPEN DEVICE CONTAINER WOULD BE HELPFUL!

Love this, worked great right out of the box. Just make sure to pull the red tape from the battery compartment. Ive used plug in scents in the past and found that the oil just gets eaten up so fast, its not economical to purchase those at all for me plus I worry about keeping something plugged in all the time like that. This solves the problem. My unit does not make the hiss or squeaking sound some have reported so not sure if a change has been made or what to attribute that to.

I didnt get a scent with it just the box. These are very hard to find in stores, so Im glad a found one.
