> 24 hourI have an H6000A Genie Model. Very easy setup. I just pushed the black learner code button on the openers power head in garage then click this remote three times and it works like a charm.

> 24 hourI did some googling before buying this remote. It became clear this product and several other Genie remote models would work with my garage door opener (motor) made by Overhead Door. Still I was not 100% sure it would be compatible. That opener unit was installed when the house was built new in 2012. Delivery was quick and product was packaged inside its original box which was in perfect new condition. Heres the sweetest part that impressed me the most -- I went over to my garage door motor, pulled out the plastic battery protector from the remote, pressed the only open/close button couple of times and noticed the red light activated. This confirmed the remote was active. Then I read the instructions on how to pair the remote to the garage opener unit. It was rather simple. Basically I had to press a button on the garage opener unit (I forget what it was labeled) and it started to blink red. Then I pressed the remote button once. It paired immediately and allowed my garage door to fully open. Once the door was fully up/open, I pressed the remote once more to close the garage door. That was successful too. And that was basically it. The remote was successfully paired. I opened & closed the garage door couple of more times to ensure it worked as it should. And it did. This whole process took less than 30 seconds. Because I timed myself. No fuss. No stress. Very clear and very quick! I wish so many other products would simply work this flawlessly from the beginning! I couldnt be happier with the purchase of this product. How long it holds up till it falls apart is the next question and I couldnt give you an answer since Ive only had this product from early part of this year and its been used regularly. For those people who may be wondering if this remote will work with Overhead Door I can say it is working with mine. And I had a confirmation from a sales person with the local Overhead Door company that several Genie remotes will work. Just do some research to confirm if you are in the same situation.

> 24 hourI had an old chunker remote from a Genie that is about 20 years old and wanted something smaller. I only have one garage so the one button made sense. The replacement unit is tiny but it what is was looking for. If you add the included clip, it slides on your car visor and is unobtrusive. It also seems to have a bit more range than the previous remote. Programming is a cinch and literally takes 30 minutes. You press the learn button on your overhead unit and you press the button on the remote until your door opens. You are done. As for cons, the button could feel a little more satisfying to press. Its decent but not great but at least better than the old remote. Also, for the size and being a single button remote, $35 (MSRP) seems a bit much for what you are getting. I think $20 makes more sense but I guess they have to make there money off a product that you are going to buy probably once. Still, its a nice upgrade if you have the old style remotes and want something small to clip on your visor, keep in your car or even put it on your key ring.
