Garmin 010-01746-00 Forerunner 935 Running GPS Unit (Black)

Its good.

Bought this for my husband who is a serious runner and he loves it. Uses it day in and day out, especially for runs. He loves the phone integration and the stats too. Definitely worth the price tag!

Wow, as much as I hate to say it, Im not impressed with the 935. Im a lifelong ultra runner and attempted to use the 935 to switch over from the chest strap to the wrist HRM. In short, way insufficient documentation on how to optimize the connection, understand how the 935 calculates or smooths the HR over time. Im having to dig through Garmin chat groups to figure out stuff that should have been in Quick start directions. Further there are at least THREE apps that are required to upload the Garmin data into third party apps like Training Peaks. Expect to spend lots of time digging through all three apps FAQs to figure out how they all sync together. Ive used the Polar M400 for the last year and while the data analytics of Polar cant touch the Garmin analytics....if the underlying HR data is no good....its totally useless. Very dissapointed that the $500 Garmin 935 cant provide a reliable, consistent HR monitor when the $140 Polar M400 can.

Very happy with this purchase. Originally wanted a watch to use only during sports, but ended up using it full-time because of the great features for everyday monitoring. I was on the fence between this one and an Apple Watch, but the 10-day battery (or up to 2 weeks if you dont do a lot of sports) is a great advantage of the Garmin. Obviously the Garmin has less apps, but this is the perfect combination for me between a a great sports watch and the basic functionalities of a smart watch (alerts, health, audio controls, etc) without all the annoying clutter. The only thing missing is the ability to load music or podcasts directly to the watch.

Works so much more reliably than the Fenix 5. This is the watch for serious runners, or anyone wishing accuracy for GPS running.

Upgraded from the 920, would never look back. Love this watch and all the functions
