Galápagos (05248) Sheets of Real Moss, 8-Quart, Natural

Bought this stuff quite awhile ago to cover plant pots in a large terrarium with tree frogs and geckos. It is still attached where it was glued, they were larger pieces and covered more space than I expected. Excellent.

What I got is in an unbranded package, not Galapagos packaging. I think this is fake.

I bought this for my hermit crab tank, one of my hermit crabs dragged in some of the moss and it the dyes soaked into the dish and WILL not come out, do not buy, this is not genuine moss and the dyes are not good for your pet either!

Supposed to come in sheets. I received a bag of shredded moss. Not even usable. Waste of money.

This is a lot of moss, its a huge bag. Some has browned a little, but seems to be bouncing back.

Its lovely moss and long lasting in my day gecko tank.

Awesome product! I bought some live moss off of Etsy and it did not even compare to this stuff. This looks so good and comes in two solid layers. Youll need to wet it but it is like installing some nice plush grass in your terrarium. It exceeded my expectations. Love it!!

Initially we loved this sheet moss for our blue tongue skink. It’s super thick and he couldn’t shred it and push it all over his tank like he does with the loose sphagnum moss. Unfortunately a few weeks after we put this in with fresh soil we started noticing fruit flies in our house. Just realized this week that they are coming from his tank and the only new thing in his set up is this sheet moss. We immediately disposed of the sheet moss and soil in his tank and went back to the soil with sphagnum moss.

This is the worst moss I have gotten for my lizard. Grows big hairy mold patches in just a day. I have never had pillow or sheet moss like this mold so fast. I guess you get what you pay for. Im not risking my pets life over a few dollars savings.
