I needed some Aspen bedding for my snake and have been using Zoo Med but noticed Galapagos was about half the price. So I ordered a bag of each from Amazon. Both arrived in great shape. Bag: Galapagos is resealable which is handy Zoo Med bag is just torn open. Amount: Galapagos: 704 grams, which filled a gallon container 2.5 times. Zoo Med: 1086 grams which filled a gallon container 4 times. Dust: Galapagos: Lots of dust, I would say unhealthy levels of dust. Zoo Med: Significantly less than Galapagos, however, there was still a good bit of dust. If you dont need aspen bedding, I would recommend you use cypress mulch from the hardware store. 4 stars - Way too dusty for me

Love using it for my snakes. There’s no mess, it’s easy to clean, and great for the money.

Great bedding. Used for my cockatiels breeding nest, perfect. A little dusty when breaking apart, but not too bad at all. Super product, will order again.

I like the Aspen Digs for use for my Tortice. I used to use Aspen but stopped using it because it is shaved and leave large pieces of the aspen which is not soft enough for my Tortice Hortense. She is about to have 8 eggs and the shaved aspen is terrible for her. Patricia

Great for my sand boa, but I dont recommend this for ball pythons. They need 70% humidity, and this will just dry them out. Cypress mulch works much better for ball pythons.

My snake loved the new bedding instantly. He started to burrow and dig into it right away. My humidity level decreased and the wood smell is gone entirely.
