FROGG TOGGS Womens Java Toadz 2.5 Ultra Light Waterproof Breathable Rain Jacket

Frogg Toggs have served me well for many years. However, I bought this one for my wife and after a few months of moderate use the zipper fell apart! See photo. Typically its not an issue to get attention from the supplier on Amazon, but this order has no mechanism to file a complaint so Im left to write a poor review instead.

Fantastic jacket!! Love the material and the insulation. Even though it’s thin it helps with rainy conditions. I would suggest wearing layers and this is not a snow jacket.

Like it but wished the hood retracted.

I am an owner of other Frogg Toggs waterproof jackets, the cheaper versions. I caught this one on sale at Amazon.com for $20 off. HAPPY. Less crinkly sounding with pockets. Very happy. Cant wait until it rains!

Exactly what I had hoped for.

So this jacket is super cute! I love the color. I would say it’s pretty true to size, I ordered the higher side of my measures as I plan to layer underneath it for backpacking trips. I love that the hood and waist can be cinched down to keep out those driving cloudbursts. The hood is plenty roomy with a Velcro stay kind of at the back of your head if you need to adjust it. I’ve had a chance to test it over several rainy days and it does keep me nice and dry. Things I don’t like: I’m not crazy about the Velcro along the zipper, it catches on everything and can make zipping it up quickly a chore. While I like that it’s not that plasticy sounding material where people will hear you coming, I would say their claims that it’s breathable are a huge stretch. I live in the PNW, so when I go for walks I take a rain jacket just in case. One particular day, it was not raining at all but I wore my jacket for the wind breaking aspects. When I went to take off the jacket when I got back home it felt damp, which I thought odd since it wasn’t raining. So I felt the jacket, and the dampness was condensation build up on the inside! Call me crazy, but isn’t that what a breathable jacket is supposed to help you avoid?! So I will keep using this one, but sadly continue my search for the perfect rain jacket.

I love it! Thin enough to be comfortable but works great against the rain and wind. Very pretty color. I really like this for outdoor play or just a spring jacket. Very happy.

Well pleased with this little rain jacket. Its light weight and keeps you dry. I keep mine folded in my car in case of surprise showers Alabama is known for.

I bought this rain jacket for our trip to Ireland. Given the time of year we went we were advised the weather could become cold, windy and rainy at the drop of a hat and it did! I ordered the jacket one size larger knowing there would be days Id be dressed in layers. The rain jacket was breathable and kept me completely dry even on the most rainy & windy days. I definitely would recommend this rain jacket.
