It was released in 2005, but it reminds me of something made in the early 1990s--it feels like a lifetime movie from that era. It just feels really dated and clunky. Made-for-TV stuff like this was never intended to be great though. Its very forgettable--its like fast food--theres no sustenance to it--you just watch it to pass some time then forget about it.

The actress who played the main part was beautiful, but I felt like she couldnt act very well. I knew about half way through the story who really did it. It was easy to figure out. It was pretty much one of those kind of movies that play on TV on the lifetime channel. The part about the key was weird, she knew it was a key for about half the movie, but it wasnt until the end that she really wanted to find out what it went to.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was made in Montreal and the brownstone was just stunning (I love old houses). It keeps you in suspense from the beginning to 3/4 of the way through, never quite knowing who were the good guys and the bad guys. While in the midst of a divorce, the woman moves back into her childhood home after her husband freezes all of her assets. Things start to get really interesting as she begins having flashbacks and nightmares. This was the home where her aunt was murdered and she nearly died. Her friend is a little too caring and her contractor seems to know too much about the house. Then there is the very caring psychiatrist she has known since her traumatic childhood experience as well as her controlling soon to be ex husband, neither of whom want to let her go. They all seem to care about her but things are not as they appear or are they? She, herself, seems to be going insane. Add in the handsome new dr who is treating her mother and trying to figure out the meaning behind all of the pictures that shes drawn throughout the years at the institution and youve got a great whodunit. I dont want to give the plot away. It was a really good, suspenseful film. I know its good when I have to watch it through my hands occasionally! The house itself was stunning and I loved how quite a bit of the film was filmed inside the old mansion. I figured out the whodunit about half way through, but didnt know the reason why until the end. This was one of the better Lifetime movies...I highly recommend it as it keeps you guessing long into the movie.
