> 24 hourA tad bit bigger but very durable. My conures just laid a clutch but werent really sitting on them so i incubated them, had these fake eggs to keep them occupied incase they do decide to sit on them. I think they like these more than their actual eggs.

> 24 hourIdentical to the real thing but my birds still know the difference. They kick them aside and lay real ones. Then when I took the fake ones out they laid even more real ones so I guess they help tone down the egg laying a little.

> 24 hourWe bought them because our cockatiel was laying too many eggs. After replacing her real eggs with these, she incubated these for 3 weeks and did not lay any more eggs during this time. She is back to eating and flying heathly!

> 24 hourOur male cockatiel in a bad mood one morning. Staying at bottom of cage, rocking side to side, and hissing. Left him alone, checked later and found an egg. That explained bad mood. Seems our male was female and had no interest in the egg. Quick research, females lay eggs without a mate and will continue to lay eggs. Fake eggs stop females from laying more eggs. They worked, she had only the one.

> 24 hourThese eggs are so similar in shape/size and coloration to my GCCs first egg that I had to give a review the same day I received them in the mail. They are substantial, too - sturdy little things that wont wear out any time soon. My husband has already swapped out the egg with Churchs real egg, and she seems none the wiser 4 hours later. For anyone wondering, we decided to order these to avoid any potential issues that can occur with egg laying, especially with this being her (and our) first time around. Im so happy with the quality and item count for the price. I have to add that delivery being next day is fantastic because we (naively?) hoped that wed get to skip that becoming a lady part although we have 2 female GCCs... but now we have enough fake eggs to swap multiple clutches if Churchs sister starts laying as well!

> 24 hourThe photo on the left shows the set of 8 dummy eggs I purchased in this set. The photo on the right shows an actual egg from my cockatiel side by side with an egg from the set. As you can see, the dummy eggs are somewhat larger than what my bird actually produces. ( I deducted one star for accuracy of size). My sweetie pie is stuck in a non-stop nesting marathon, and I am worried about her health. She has laid 4 clutches in the past 10 months. After reading up on the use of dummy eggs to curb chronic egg laying, I will now be giving her all 8 eggs at once as recommended, after she lays the first egg of her next new clutch. For now, I have removed the 5 natural eggs in her present clutch, and replaced them with 7 dummy eggs, as she looks ready to lay another egg. I’ll replace the new egg as well. My bird has accepted the dummy eggs just fine, so I am happy about that. She has tucked them all underneath her and is taking excellent care of them. The eggs are smooth and sturdy feeling. They are washable and seem like they will last a long while. A good purchase overall.

> 24 hourThese are to keep your small female birds from overlaying eggs and getting egg bound which is vey dangerous and life threatening. I don’t remember if it came with exact directions or not but please look up how to properly use them. If your female lays an egg do NOT remove it. As she has her eggs you will slowly substitute a real egg for one of these imitation eggs, if you took her eggs away she will lay more which will be very taxing on her body. Let her keep sitting on the eggs until she decides that they are not going to hatch and leaves them alone and then you can remove all the imitation eggs and save them for when it happens again. The real eggs are not viable. Females will lay eggs without mating. These are used for a cockatiel. An extra tip; if your bird ever becomes “egg bound”, meaning they can not pass an egg and it is stuck NEVER try to remove the egg as it will crack inside of her. Put some olive or coconut oil around the area and get her to your avian vet immediately. So I recommend that you DEFINITELY buy these eggs for the SAFETY of your bird. It could be life or death for real. If people who care buy these Amazon should be constantly having to restock. Enjoy your feathered friends, Amazon customers!

> 24 hourI was very skeptical about using fake eggs to stop egg laying, but wow, I’m happy to say they really worked! I have a 22-year-old green cheek conure; she was laying eggs, for months, which creates a health risk because it causes calcium deficiency and is very hard on their little bodies. In earlier years she went thru egg laying cycles, but stopped on her own. Not this time!! So I decided to try the fake eggs. I bought the size recommended, put two of them in the cage, and it worked perfectly.. genius invention!

> 24 hourThese faux eggs were exactly what I needed. Well actually, it’s exactly what my poor little cockatiel needed. She would not stop laying eggs. I would leave them for quite a few days and then try and sneak them out but nothing was working until I got these. They look so much like the real ones that it truly was impossible to tell the difference. I believe you saved my birds life. She was not stopping the laying process. I know because of that she was becoming deficient in calcium and other nutrients. So when I say you saved her life I truly believe that. Thank you
