Greater than one weekStrong solid steel. I used to just use a stick to move things around in my backyard fire pit. This is a much better and safer option since it doesnt catch on fire. The hook is great for lifting fallen logs and providing more oxygen to unburned material on the bottom. Long and thick enough that it takes a long time in the flames for the handle to get hot.

> 3 dayThis is one substantial fire poker! It has enough length to keep you away from the heat and flame, it has a nice hook for turning logs in the fire, and it has a large, sturdy grip. The points, which are extremely sharp, come covered with plastic tips for safety. Leave on for storage or take off, but if you leave them on, remember to take them off before you stick the poker in the fire or they will be permanently melted on! Being black, they are hard to notice! Great poker, and Im very happy with it for my outdoor firepit!

> 3 dayWe have a round fire pit on our patio area - the kind with the patio brick surround. Weve struggled with finding fire tools that work because of it size and depth - but this will be perfect! The only negative is how it came packaged by Amazon - as it was in a box by itself, without any packaging material and it was poking out the end when delivered to my front porch. It a solid one-piece construction, the handle feels comfortable and the hooked end will be great for moving things around in the fire pit.

> 3 dayThis poking stick is made of solid steel and is quite heavy duty; It will never wear out or break. I love using it to play in the fire. Note: If you have weak wrists you may have problems lifting and or turning this stick; It is quite heavy. Very happy with my purchased. I would definitely recommend. Awesome!

> 3 dayThis is a nice fire poker. I got the 40+ inch one which comes as one solid piece. It ships with little rubber ends on the sharp ends. The handle is large to fit a hand inside. And 40 inches is definitely long enough for a woodstove or fireplace. If you are thinking of getting this for an outdoor firepit, you might want to find something a bit longer - just my suggestion. I think an out door firepit would need another foot.

> 3 dayThis is a very strong and heavy fire pit poker but not too heavy (about two pounds). Very long so that you can keep your distance and not get burned. Nice handle for a good grip. I like that its all one piece. Seems very well made. We are using it for our backyard fire pit. Good buy.

> 3 dayI was very impressed with this fire pit poker! I have been looking for one for a while without much luck. Either they were too cheesy or too small. This poker is heavy duty and has some length to keep you at a safe distance from the fire. (I added a pic with hammer for scale) I am very happy with this heavy duty iron poker! You will be too!
