This filter works so well. I’ve been using it for years. It really cuts down on the dust in my home, along with the other heath benefits it touts. You might find that you need to change to a new, clean filter more often, though, as this version really does trap airborne gunk. Recommended.

I have seasonal allergies (all year around). This is the best filter I have found so far that really helps me and isnt too expensive! I buy these regularly now.

The merv 12 filtration level may be a little too high for some furnaces. We installed these filters and went from a merv7 to 12 and a week later the blower motor is having problems. Possibly coincidental, but we put the old dusty ones back in and it stopped tripping the blower motor switch. We do have an older furnace and I think these are restricting air flow a little too well. Our hvac friend suggested not going higher than a merv 8. Hope this helps.

I like the way this filter is all-inclusive with filtering out the smallest of particles, including viruses, dust, allergens, and cleans up the air, put out by the furnace blower.

With the multiple grades of filtration, Filtrete is a must-have for individuals needing good filtration. The higher the rating, the more it covers. For a family with asthma, our 1500 rating ones are the bare minimum we need to lessen our attacks and maintain some form of proper breathing. On top of it, my beloved has many allergies that can trigger an attack without proper filters. These filters help reduce the likelihood of an attack happening. It does not prevent completely, but it does reduce the severity.

I actually bought this upgraded (1500) filter because my cat has bad allergies. I have two freestanding hepa air filter fans running in the house but with the drastic uptick of allergies this season (after all of the rain), my cat was still suffering. As a pet owner, of course I’ll do anything I can to help him. I’ve noticed he’s doing much better even with allergens spiking day in and day out. I know it puts more strain on the air intake of my hvac system, but maybe I can get away with this during peak season.

These filters fit as expected in our HVAC return air vent. There are arrows on the sides of the filter frame to show you which direction you should install the filter. The price from Amazon is fair for a two pack of MERV 12 filters, and doing Subscribe and Save helps keep me on schedule to replace the filters.
