Filtrete 16x20x1, AC Furnace Air Filter, MPR 1900, Healthy Living Ultimate Allergen, 6-Pack (exact dimensions 15.69 x 19.69 x 0.78)

I bought these 14x14x1 in March 2022, and they do not accurately fit the spaces where they go, being slightly too large. They have to be smooshed and/or bent to get them into the same spaces where other quality air filters have easily and correctly fit with no issue for over 10 years. Perhaps this was a manufacturing error at that time, dunno. Since the cardboard frame around the filter material is stiff, smashing in the ends is less effective than bending them slightly in half, putting both ends in, and then pushing on the center to smoosh it flat. I suggest if you buy them that you try them soon after purchase to make sure they fit your space correctly, especially during any applicable return window, of smooshing and bending might affect your decision to use them. Attached is a pic of the label that came on mine. Knocked one star off for this issue, which is more troublesome for me because I have to get on a ladder and reach above my head to try to smoosh these into the spaces, including into a space right next to my stairs down, which scares me when I do them alone.

Works well but wish they were sold individually as they are very pricey and large to store.

When 3M states these filters last 6 months, they truly mean it! These filters fit snug which prevents whistling and slop in the register like Amazon Basic filters. The filtration rating is equivalent to a MERV 13 filter in a 1” depth. Tons of particulate is captured and come 6 months the filters are absolutely full and need to be changed.

It fits tight inside the air intake filter housing. I don’t need to tape it in around the edges.

3m Quality doesnt disappoint

Ok. So, these are so expensive. BUT it’s worth every penny. They last 3 months and after pulling them out you can see all the particulates they’ve cleared from the air. I would definitely recommend these.

I have learned that best A/C - furnace filters are those with the most surface area. This can be easily measured by counting the number of pleats. Also, it is important to keep your air ducts clean which also is a plus. When I change filters every 3 months I marvel at the amount of residue that was retained that I did not have to breathe.

I like knowing the air circulating at home is filtered as much as I can get it. I change my filter monthly now. We moved from a more rural area to a metro location with heavy traffic. In one month of filtering here, it’s brown. It took a solid 3 months to get that way where we used to live. So I’m sure we’re breathing more pollution here when we’re outside. I like knowing inside our bodies can get a break from it because of the high quality 3M filter.
