1st one I got was d.o.a. and may have killed my motherboard(was tested with a psu tester at a computer shop), I then thought ok maybe I got bad luck. I then returned-ordered another and same thing.(this one was immediately test on a psu tester before getting put in). I will not be trying a third unit.

I really like this psu. The voltages are exactly what they should be unlike other psus where the voltage is slightly under.

Its a great power supply and I got it 1.5 weeks early so thats awesome. At first inspection I thought the tamper seal from evga had been cut and taped over with clear tape but i was mistaken. They just have a strange tamper seal so make sure you really look close if you think it was tampered with. Overall I expect the same great product from evga so cool.

I sent this one back because I didnt need it. I bought on at a local computer store, and gotten the same one. Didnt want to wait 3 extra day to put my build together. It works good and no problem at all.

No problems so far

Its super quiet even under high stress and it was very easy to install to older and newer boards.

My 850 watt PS went on the fritz about 6 weeks ago, it would suddenly power off and back on. The computer with be under a load with a game and the power would suddenly die and come back on, rebooting the machine. It was sort of like getting a blue screen without a blue screen. Eventually it started really going crazy like losing power, then flapping on and off rapidly until I pulled the plug. I realized that it wasnt the motherboard, or bad drivers or anything like that. I rebuild the machine every 3 years or so, but I hadnt replaced the power supply in ten years, it was finally time. I like the modular connectors, although some of them were really tight getting them on the SSDs, which are hard to reach inside the case. Once I put it back together, Ive had no trouble with power since, so the old PS was definitely the problem (a Corsair 850W from about 2010).

I will buy EVGA until they give me a reason not to. I trust their products. They use quality cables and have a dependable PSU. I have 5 of these 1000w gold super nova’s. I just keep coming back.
