UPDATE 3/18/18: I suggest that YOU NOT BUY these filters. I have (had) two vacs and while Im not sure this is the particular model filter, IT IS THE SAME BRAND that destroyed one of them. If you buy it be very careful that it doesnt restrict the airflow to your motor or it will destroy it before you know whats happening. It only took two months or so to burn the motor out, and i dont vacuum all that often. -I am referring to Enviro Care Technologies brand filters. Just because an aftermarket filter fits your filter sleeve dimensions doesnt mean its made to work right for your specific vac, as I found out the hard way. Good luck. original review 3/17 This aftermarket inner canister filter (Not a genuine Kenmore filter) seems OK except not electrostatically charged as the original one was. Usually when a filter is electrostatically charged it is noted prominently on the packaging because that treatment cant be seen. And it significantly enhances the filters ability to trap and hold of small particles. Because its unlilkely that these filters are so charged and the vacuum is HEPA vacuum, only 3 stars.

I actually bought these to use as face mask filters after having read that vacuum filters were the next best thing to an actual medical mask. They were a little thicker than I thought the would be which added a bit of bulkiness to the mask, but cut in half, they certainly service the purpose.
