Durvet Saddle Soap Glycerin Bar For Leather

Bought a bar of this to clean up an English riding saddle that has been neglected (to say the least). Bought it based off of Amazon reviews and so I thought what the heck. Very good stuff. Makes up a great lather and cleans the leather, as well as it seems to put a little something back into the leather. Definitely will buy more.

I would give this 5 stars if it werent for the pine scent that this soap has - who wants that? It doesnt linger on my boots waxed leather though so that is good. This soap lathers up way better than the opaque yellow variety that contains wax (Kiwi, Penguin, and similar brands). It does a great job cleaning too. It would be more convenient if it came in a can but I havent seen a glycerin based saddle soap yet that was.

This soap cleaned my tack so well. It was moldy and gross from sitting in storage for 6 months, the tack looks practically new! The scent however gives me a mean headache, but it doesn’t stick around and stink up my tack.

This stuff is a great add for leathercrafting
